From frontal to occipital, mandible to temporal, the human skull consists of an amazing 22 bones and 21 foramina.
A couple of illustrations drawn by myself in attempt to capture the beauty and complexity that lies within each curve and crevice. The delicate balance of strength and fragility, of protection and vulnerability; all of which is captured within this piece of anatomy.
